Pretzel & Stouffer Partner Presents at Illinois Association of Ophthalmology Program

Partner Daniel Mills recently presented at a program sponsored by the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology (IAO). His lecture was entitled “The Law: Learn About The Do’s and Don’ts So It Won’t Be Used Against You”.

Mr. Mills was asked to provide an overview of a civil lawsuit, explaining the legal concepts and potential damage claim. There was a focus on trends in ophthalmology litigation and emphasis on practice patterns that could limit or even eliminate litigation.

Mr. Mills has been handling the defense of ophthalmology cases for over 20 years and is a panel counsel member for Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC), a physician-owned company affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
