The Chicago Bar Association recently honored attorney David Stein as the recipient of its Young Lawyers Section Milton H. Gray Award for Outstanding Project Leadership during the 2013-2014 Bar year.
David’s work during the year focused on strengthening CBA programming with its partner high school, Legal Prep Charter Academy. Throughout the year, David organized and led CBA volunteers in a monthly negotiations program to teach Legal Prep students basic negotiation skills, spearheaded two community service days, organized a student essay contest, and assisted in launching an attorney-student mentoring program.
David’s leadership was also honored by the American Bar Association at its 2014 Annual Meeting. Through David’s work with Legal Prep, the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section received the ABA’s First Place Award for Service To The Public.
