Matt Egan Retained By a Major Petroleum Refiner

Matt Egan has been retained by a major petroleum refiner to assist in the recovery of over $400,000,000 in damages arising from a catastrophic fire that occurred at their facility in Lemont IL on October 23, 2013. The fire caused extensive damage and shut down while repair work was performed. The recently filed lawsuit alleges that the fire and resulting damages were caused by the contractor hired to perform maintenance and repair on the crude oil portion of the refinery. Matt previously represented these clients and, working in tandem with counsel from Houston, was successful in obtaining the largest reported Law Division jury verdict in the history of the Circuit Court of Cook County IL.
