Attorney Bio

Howard defends individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations against claims for wrongful death, catastrophic injury and property damage in Illinois and Indiana. He has substantial experience in investigating and preparing complex cases for trial that involve medical malpractice, pharmacy malpractice, legal malpractice, premises liability, auto and trucking liability, construction liability, and product liability. Howard has also participated in numerous mediations and settlements, resulting in favorable resolutions for clients without the expense and risk of a trial.

Before practicing at Pretzel & Stouffer, Howard worked for 14 years as a prosecutor in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he supervised the Narcotics Felony Trial Unit and tried numerous jury and bench felony cases to verdict.
